How do you actually work with a team?

For the duration of the engagement, typically 3 to 6 months, I join your team as one of your engineers, not an outside advisor who drops a deck and disappears. I'm in your standups, your codebase, and your decisions, building and driving change alongside the people who'll own the work after I'm gone. No PowerPoint consulting.

Will what we build actually get used?

This is the question I care about most. Most platforms don't fail in the build, they fail in adoption: golden paths nobody follows, tools teams route around, investments that never provide a return. Driving adoption is part of the engagement, not an afterthought. I design for the developers who have to live with the platform, upskill the team as we go, and measure success by what's actually used, not vanity metrics of what's shipped.

What happens when you leave?

You keep the capability, not a dependency. My objective is to help you achieve your goals and make myself unnecessary as fast as possible. Documentation, inclusive decision-making, and upskilling are built into how I work, so the knowledge lives in your team rather than in my head. The aim is simple: the team runs better after I leave than the day I arrived.

Why me instead of a full-time platform hire?

Speed and focus. Hiring senior platform talent is a six-month cycle and a permanent cost. I deliver senior-level outcomes from week one and upskill your team so the capability stays once I'm gone. When the engagement ends, you're not carrying a salary: you're carrying the results.

You're one person, can you handle my scope?

I work solo when focus is what's needed, and bring in trusted partners from my network when scale is. For larger initiatives that means the right capacity without agency overhead, layers of account managers, or juniors billed at senior rates. And if your scope is genuinely beyond what this model fits, I'll tell you straight and point you to a larger partner.

How do we get started? How does pricing work?

The lowest-risk way to start is a fixed-scope platform assessment: a short, defined engagement where I review your current setup and hand you a concrete roadmap: yours to keep whether or not we work together afterward. Larger engagements are embedded and billed at a day rate over a typical 3–6 month duration (with possible extensions), with travel and expenses separate. The best next step is a short call.
